  • As a graphic designer, I was thrilled to take on the challenge of creating a new visual identity for Vacatio, a luxury English brand that caters to the British upper-class young Sloane demographic. The project involved designing a new logo, selecting a color palette and typography that reflected the target market's tastes and preferences, and creating a style guide and templates for marketing materials. I was excited to work on a project that required me to demonstrate a versatile array of skills, including branding, typography, and logo design.


    To start the project, I began with a week of research and briefing. I wanted to understand the client's needs, the target market, and the existing branding and messaging. I conducted a competitive analysis and studied the luxury and high-end brands that resonate with the target market. I also researched the latest design trends and technologies to ensure that the design was modern and relevant.


    Once the research phase was complete, I moved on to creating initial concepts for the new visual identity. The design had to capture the essence of the brand, reflect the target market, build brand recognition, and be consistent with the company's existing branding and messaging. I created multiple sketches and digital designs, experimenting with different color palettes, typography, and iconography. I used complex graphic designer techniques, such as layering and masking, to achieve the desired effects.


    After two weeks of designing, I developed and refined the chosen concept. I ensured that the logo was unique, memorable, and easily recognizable, and that the color palette reflected the target market's tastes and preferences while conveying luxury and exclusivity. I selected elegant typography that complemented the logo design and reflected the brand's sophistication. I also incorporated elements that reflected the company's values, such as luxury, exclusivity, and sophistication.


    Once the design was finalized, I created a style guide that outlined the use of the logo, color palette, and typography across different platforms. The style guide ensured that the brand's visual identity remained consistent across all marketing materials, from brochures and flyers to social media posts. I also created a set of design templates that the client could use to create marketing materials quickly and easily.


    Throughout the project, I used a variety of tools and technical skills, such as Adobe Creative Suite, to create and refine the design. I used complex graphic designer techniques, such as color theory, typography, and composition, to achieve the desired effects. I learned how to create a strong visual identity that effectively communicates a brand's message to its customers and builds brand recognition.


    In conclusion, the Vacatio branding project was a challenging yet rewarding experience that allowed me to demonstrate a versatile array of skills as a graphic designer.
