Hello everyone! Today, I want to share with you my experience working on a solo project to create the logo design for Enugu Women's Association. It was an incredible opportunity to demonstrate my versatile array of skills as a graphic designer, and I learned a lot during the process.
To begin with, I carefully read and analyzed the design brief, which provided a clear understanding of the client's requirements, objectives, and expectations. Based on this, I started to conduct research to gain insight into the organization's brand, values, and target audience. This involved studying their website, social media pages, and other marketing materials to identify their existing branding and messaging.
After completing my research, I began brainstorming ideas and sketching out initial concepts for the logo design. I wanted the design to be simple, memorable, and easily recognizable, as well as incorporating elements that reflected the organization's values and heritage / tradition
One of the most important graphic design concepts that I used during the development of the project was color theory. The design brief specified that the color palette should reflect the diversity of the organization's members and convey a sense of inclusivity. To achieve this, I used a range of colors that complemented each other and were symbolic of different aspects of the organization's history.
During the design development and refinement stage, I worked closely with the client to ensure that the final design met all their requirements and objectives. I used mock-ups and prototypes to showcase different design options and make it easier for the client to visualize the final product.
Finally, I created a style guide that outlined the use of the logo, color palette, and typography across different platforms. This ensured that the client could maintain consistency and brand recognition when using the logo and other design elements in their marketing materials.
In conclusion, working on the Enugu Women's Association logo design project was an incredible learning experience. It challenged me to implement complex graphic design techniques and taught me the importance of communication and collaboration with clients to achieve their goals. I am proud of the final result and believe that it effectively conveys the values and identity of the organization.
